Season of Giving

on December 28, 2016

Not all superheroes wear capes but with this holiday season filled with compassion and giving from the heart, our heroes wear hard hats and steel-toed boots.

Atlas Tube Harrow

The Atlas Tube Harrow division had their annual food and toy drive and have reached a personal milestone this year by providing over 1,000 food items and 250 toys for local charities in the Harrow/Colchester area.

Many of our employees support other charities that are near and dear to their hearts, but this didn’t stop them from rising to the occasion and setting a new record for the Atlas-Harrow division in terms of charitable giving. “So many people have been remarkably giving of their time by volunteering and providing financial assistance in an effort to bring in loads of toys and food, it’s just incredible,” said Luanne Kehl, Executive Administrative Assistant.

Atlas partnered with organizations such as the Salvation Army St. Vincent de Paul, Harrow Catholic Church, Essex & McGregor, the Santa Sac ladies in Harrow and Santa’s Cause for Kids. The Bargain Shop in Kingsville gave 20% off all the toys that were purchased for the toy drive. The local food bank made gift baskets that were provided to families and bought vouchers from Sanford’s Grocery Store for the perishable items.   Extra food items were donated to the Harrow Foodbank.

We would like to thank everyone for their kind hearts and helping hands.  Thank you to all the local organizations that Atlas partnered with, OPP, Joe Meloche and team (including Harrow News), Melissa Klomstra, Rob Grass, Toki Ryan (food bank contact).  A special shout out to Luanne Kehl who coordinates the event every year and our employees who donated so generously.
