Ted Goldstein, structural engineer and inventor of Shuriken™ Structural Nut Keeper, joins Brad from Tokyo, Japan, to discuss how Shuriken makes HSS connections faster and easier. While HSS columns are the norm in Japan, welded splices pose a hurdle to adoption in the U.S. Shuriken allows for field-bolted column splices, simplifying the process and cutting costs.

New Mill Coming Soon

Brad and guest John Chatterton, Vice President of Engineering Technologies for Zekelman Industries, provide an update on Atlas Tube’s new straight-seam ERW tube mill currently being constructed in Blytheville, Arkansas. The new mill will be rolling Jumbo HSS in larger sizes than previously available, and it’s all made in America for fast delivery.
